The two legendary stars of the Hong Kong music scene - George Lam and Sally Yeh finally unite for a concert! From October 9th to 13th, the Hong Kong Coliseum will host five consecutive nights of the 《White-headed WE ARE ONE World Tour Concert - Hong Kong Station》! Due to the high demand and limited availability at the Coliseum, priority booking will begin on July 21st to 25th. Get ready, music lovers, for the rush to grab tickets!
It's been 27 years since George Lam and Sally Yeh last shared the stage at a concert in 1998. This concert, aptly named "White-headed", will surely evoke emotions and nostalgia among fans. It is not just a musical feast but also an earnest production by two hall-of-fame singers as a tribute to the era. In return for the fans' long-standing support, from the days of their youth to their white-haired years, through highs and lows, George Lam and Sally Yeh warm the hearts of their fans with their songs, growing old and improving together with them.
When asked about their thoughts on the concert theme, "White-headed Together", Sally immediately looked at George and said, "It was his idea. We have a friend who suggested that we should have a slogan to represent us. The next morning, George tapped me on the shoulder and said he woke up with the idea of 'White-headed Together'! Firstly, these days not many people perform on stage, especially not as a couple, and we both have heads full of white hair now, so it's very fitting. But I feel it's not just about us being 'white-headed together'. We've been singing for so many years, and our audience has grown with us. But we never expected that at this time, younger fans would also come to us, so we feel very blessed. 'White-headed Together' can involve many people and many things." She continued, "George and I are truly excited to meet our fans again on stage after all these years of support. We'll be meeting in October, and I can't wait! I really hope we can spend some wonderful time together and have fun."
【Comfort is Key, Even When Filming Posters】
Recently, George and Sally filmed the poster for the concert. The two stars were down-to-earth and brought their own clothes to the shoot. Sally shared, "We usually wear the same style of clothes, so we went shopping together and randomly picked out the comfiest outfits. At our age, comfort and our own happiness are the most important! Our most natural look is wearing jeans. This show belongs to us, and we want to present our truest selves!" The concert poster embraces nature instead of glamorous splendor, keeping it simple yet captivating and eye-catching. The duo listened to the photographer's instructions, and Sally shared her thoughts on the desired outcome. They quickly got into the flow and finished the shoot.
【Sally Embraces Nature and Has Strong Convictions】
Sally, a nature lover, has strong convictions. She shared, "I've always had strong convictions, but if others have good suggestions that I feel are suitable, I'm open to them." Her candidness and directness are part of her allure. For George, photoshoots can be challenging. He recalled, "Even when I was a child, before the age of ten, I already disliked taking pictures." Hearing this, Sally chimed in to balance the sentiment, "Today's photographer is excellent. It makes a big difference because the photographer makes us feel comfortable, and the lighting is well-handled." In addition, Sally thoughtfully prepared afternoon tea for the staff who helped out during the shoot, a heartwarming gesture.
